About pamelalamb

I am a SSHRC-funded Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University. My academic background is broadly interdisciplinary, with training in Nursing (RN), Women's Studies (BA Honours with Distinction), and Media Studies (MA with Distinction). Acknowledging that social discrimination exists in healthcare, my doctoral research interests are in the area of arts-based approaches to cultural safety in inter-professional development. My PhD project investigates how participatory digital storytelling can be used as an experiential learning activity, to learn about healthcare providers’ everyday experiences of culture, including cultural hybridity, power/privilege, and situated vulnerability. I have worked as a Registered Nurse in clinical and community settings, and a Course Lecturer and Research Assistant at McGill University. View all posts by pamelalamb
